What’s Happening Wed: Man claws himself out of a grave

Sometimes zombie stories just aren’t much fun. In fact, sometimes they are appalling. In Brazil, a man was accidentally buried alive and clawed his way out of his own grave. How he ended up buried to begin with has yet to be discovered.

Did you know that due to a meteorite hitting the planet, an ancient swamp has been preserved under glass? This is such a cool discovery not only because of the ancient life we can now study, but because life was actually able to sustain beneath all of this impact and heat. It also supports the theory that life on space rocks could have made it to Earth, survived, and helped populate the planet. It’s really incredible.

Natural Born Learners offers a comparison of “How to Make Unschooling Better” versus the traditional line of thought in “How to Make Schools Better.” I really like this piece because so many people believe that unschoolers have certain problems with schools and if they were remedied, we’d be happy to send our kids there. The thing is, most unschoolers are against such an unnatural environment for learning and believe that learning occurs everywhere, at every moment, and this piece really highlights that.
