Tasty Tidbits: Pumpkin pie ice cream

The fall is quickly approaching, and what better way to celebrate than prepare pumpkin everything? My family always makes pumpkin bread—save for the year with the pumpkin shortages—and pumpkin pie, but this pumpkin pie ice cream is a cool idea that we haven’t tried yet. If you have some pie filling and some oatmeal cookies, you are already halfway there.

Apple cider is another one of my favorite fall treats, and this recipe for apple cider caramels looks pretty tempting. The thing is, apple cider is pretty expensive so you’d have to really want it to make it. Maybe you could make a small batch so you could drink the rest of the cider!

And for something hearty to eat as the weather cools down, how about this warm chicken Alfredo casserole? The only issue I have for it is that it calls for a “good jar of alfredo sauce.” What does that even mean? I have yet to taste a good jar of alfredo sauce. So far, the only good ones I’ve had are in restaurants or the one my husband makes from scratch. Do you know of a good one that you can actually buy from the store? If so, let me know about it.

And how about these no-bake peanut butter balls covered in chocolate? They would work really well for Halloween parties and other fall events. I bet you could make them to give away as holiday gifts if you want.

What fall treats are you cooking up?
