Oh, and the new trailer for 'Catching Fire' debuted, too!

The 2013 MTV Movie Awards: Fun, crazy and very entertaining

I've got to say it: The MTV Movie Awards is a really, really fun show. This is not your run-of-the-mill, stuffy awards presentations, golf-clapping for winners kind of deal. It's interesting, spontaneous and there's a lot screaming.

First of all, mad props to the 2013 MTV Movie Awards host Rebel Wilson. I remember thinking that 2012 was without a doubt her breakout year, and now she's proven to me that she's in this long term. The show got off to a hilarious start thanks to Wilson, who tore through some outrageous popular songs, including Macklemore's huge hit "Thrift Shop."

Rebel Wilson is talented. Period. I mean come on, she pulled an all-out Pitch Perfect with a pink track suited version of Miley Cyrus' "The Climb." And also? For Pitch Perfect fans, know that her cast mates stepped in to give Rebel a little help along the way.

Okay, so some awards were also given out. Sorry, I'm still chuckling about the crazy opening. Without further adieu, the winners of the MTV Movie Awards' prestigious Golden Popcorn awards included: Jennifer Lawrence (Best Female Performance for Silver Linings Playbook), Bradley Cooper (Best Male Performance for Silver Linings Playbook), Rebel Wilson (Best Breakthrough Performance for Pitch Perfect) and The Avengers (Movie of the Year).

Here's where things got super exciting: Joss Whedon was there to accept his Golden Popcorn MTV Movie of the Year Award for The Avengers, and he got everyone pumped up, saying "This is the award that means the most to me. I am so grateful and very excited for 2015; we're going to bring you Avengers 2."

So yeah, that's happening. I mean we knew it was happening, but it's just still so exciting. I will admit I screamed just an itty bitty bit along with everyone in the live audience. I'm such a fan girl.

You can check out all of the best highlights, including a list of all the winners, on MTV's official website. I recommend watching Emma Watson get the Trailblazer award (she's such a great young actress) and checking out the exclusive Iron Man 3 clip that was shown during the show.

Also? Yeah, there's that little matter of the debut of the Catching Fire teaser trailer. I am a huge fan of the first Hunger Games movie (I thought it was a stellar adaptation from the book) and from the looks of the new teaser, Catching Fire will be equally as great.

Did anyone else watch this year's MTV Movie Awards on Sunday night? What was your favorite part?
