Fandom Crafts: Fellowship double-knitting scarf

Out of all the knitting techniques I have tried (including intarsia, short rows, entrelac, and others), double knitting is by far my least favorite to work. Which is too bad, because it produces amazing results, as you can see! I am so impressed by this scarf. Tumblr user thedaywasnew knit this on the fly, following this famous movie poster:
