Plus cool creatures, fun places and making a difference through Harry Potter

Weekend Fun: Use your noggin

Wood Sprite has a new purse she is using for “adventuring” that she got from my sister’s boyfriend’s antique shop, and the strap broke the first day she brought it home. Not only did she fix the strap by tying it (with some help from Indy), she also used a pipe cleaner to hold the tie down because it was “smacking her in the face.” Inventive! Then Indy decided to use a coffee filter to clean out some cooking oil he used. Think it will work? (Update: It works but it’s slow!) Present a problem to your family (or yourself) this weekend and see if you can find a creative solution to it.

Here are some really cool creatures to introduce to your family: the orange tortoise spider! Unfortunately we don’t know much about these cool-looking critters, but they are from South America and they look like tiny orange tortoises. What could be cooler?

Here are 16 cool places to check out on Google Street View together.

Check out these 25 lovely pictures of true love. Some of them will really make you grin!

Have you heard about the Harry Potter Alliance? It uses Harry Potter to help fight genocide, global warming, human and civil rights abuse and more! Oh, I love it. My friend M shared it with me and said, “You should work here!” You know, I think she’s right. I’ve always wanted to start my own S.P.E.W… and I hated that it wasn’t in the movies! Didn’t you?
