Monday Medley: Free Kindle books for unschoolers and homeschoolers

Here are some fun, free Kindle books you might be interested in. They include Popsicle recipes, The Wind in the Willows and several others.

This TED Talk by Jerry Mintz of AERO (the Alternative Education Resource Organization) is really interesting. I’ve been a fan of AERO for years and love what they do.

Have you heard of Crash Course videos? They’re brief lessons on various subjects on YouTube. I haven’t checked any of them out yet but plan on doing so this week.

Penelope Trunk has a hard-hitting piece about how schools violate the fundamental rights of children. I am new to Trunk’s work but I’m already getting hooked.

Check out Connected Parenting if you haven’t yet. It looks like a really good site to help foster peaceful, noncoercive parenting. The same goes for I Heart Parenting.
