Here are some fun weekend projects for your family.

DIY Sunday

Got cats? We do! And we love this fun idea. I don’t think we’ll put the boxes all together in one room, but maybe we will throughout the house.

Make these super cute fairy donuts out of Cheerios! Wood Sprite is in love with this and wants to make her own miniature kingdom. We have a lot of work ahead of us! If you know of any other cool and inexpensive DIY miniature ideas, please share them. We need them!

OK, it’s not a DIY house project—but it’s still a DIY treat: try these red velvet cream cheese brownies. Indy would love these, since they combine his two favorite desserts! Not a chocolate person? Try this lemon cake recipe instead. Or you could try these Oreo cheesecake cookies

Try these fun ideas for displaying your washcloths and towels. They’re really simple and only take minutes.

Check out this berry basket gadget keeper from Crayola. Wood Sprite already made us a really cool gadget keeper in her shop class but this is a cool idea, too. You can also make a bird nester with all of your scraps and your berry baskets. For many more berry basket project ideas, click here.

These photo projects look like so much fun! You may want to implement these cool ideas into your next photo shoot—or just to goof around with them with your family sometime this weekend.

Have you heard of this lovely pillow case project where Girl Scouts make pillow cases for sick kids in hospitals to cheer them up? I just love it. I’m leading our troop this year and I am hoping we can do this as a service project. We may have to wait until the girls are a bit older, though—even so, it also makes a great family project.
