I can't believe the movie's almost here!

My favorite thing this week: The last 'Monsters University' trailer

Can anyone out there honestly say that they've never loved a Pixar movie? Hmmm? I honestly don't think it's possible. Puppies, rainbows and Pixar movies: All are just simply perfect in their own way. Don't ever ask me to pick my favorite Pixar film, either, because I've tried for years and I just can't. I love too many of them to choose one over the other. I can say that without question, Monsters Inc. is way up on my list though.

And now, finally, the long-awaited prequel to 2001's Monsters, Inc., Monsters University, is almost here! With great joy, I'd like to share with you my favorite thing of the week (so far): the final trailer for Monsters U, featuring an adorable Baby Mike. Prepare to get even more excited for this movie than you already are:

Monsters University Final Trailer

Adorable, isn't it? I bet you are, at this very moment, smiling. This trailer is simply awesome. I don't care that it's long and tells me a lot about the movie's plot. It's awesome because it's Monsters University, period. I have to tell you, it's been years since I've seen Monsters, Inc., and over the weekend I decided I wanted to re-watch it, just to take my excitement for Monsters University to a whole new level.

Somehow, in the course of a major move, my Monsters, Inc. two-disc collector's edition got lost. I'm heartbroken, but I've taken to eBay to try and get another copy. I realize my eBay timing couldn't possibly be worse, because everyone else has the same idea I do to re-watch this movie before we all crowd into theaters to "ooohh" and "aaahhh" and "awwww" while we watch Monsters University.

For now, I've got Monsters, Inc. in my Netflix queue, so hopefully in a matter of days I'll be happily, blissfully basking in the gloriousness of this brilliant Pixar classic. This film is just perfect to me. The story is heartwarming, the animation is, well, it's Pixar (!) and the voice acting is superb. When I think of my favorite animated movies, Monsters, Inc. pops into my head more often than not. I hope I can soon say the same about Pixar's first-ever movie prequel, too.

I have no doubt, especially after watching all the trailers and clips for Monsters University, that I'm going to leave the theater grinning from ear to ear in just a few short weeks. And yes, I've completely geeked out and ordered my very own Monsters University hoodie, too (not the one with the 4 arms, that's for little kids, not big ones like me).

Fess up, everyone: Who's going to be there that first night when Monsters University opens on June 21?
