Part V: Five powerful digital branding tools for authors.

Ganxy makes book sales and promotions easy

When it comes to promoting books, there are tons of online options out there. But I find that each one does one little piece of what I want, has a bunch of restrictions that hem the rest of my efforts in, or aren't well designed visually. What I want in the end is a good looking mini-storefront where I can sell or give away my books to people.

I found it. It's called Ganxy.

It lets authors "run promotions,
capture customer data, and earn the money you deserve."

I asked co-founder Joshua Cohen about the motivation behind creating Ganxy. He told me:

"Authors and publishers are putting a huge amount of time and energy into their eBooks.

Ganxy’s goal is to help them leverage their content by giving them high profitability, consumer contact data and other analytics, and in general making sure they can promote how and where they want to."

Here's how it looks in action:

Cool Ganxy features:

1. The Widget: You can put that widget wherever you want. Your website, your blog, your Facebook page, etc.

2. Sales: And from there, you can sell books with their PayPal integration, or you can give eBooks away with their redemption codes. Because selling through Ganxy is selling directly, authors keep 90 percent of the net after the PayPal fee. So, if you sell your book for $10 through Ganxy, you get $8.50.

3. Design: It actually looks good. Most DIY author tools are pretty functional, but creators don't spend much time on designing it. Often I think, "Man, I don't want to put that thing on my website." But when I saw the Ganxy widget, my thought was "This widget looks way better than my website- I might have to up my own design game!"

4. Customer service: They provide excellent customer support and device guidance for buyers and they are non-exclusive; you can offer your customers other retail options along with ours. You also get paid fast, usually within 24 hours.

5. Giveaways: The eBook giveaway feature is one place where Ganxy really shines. You give someone a code, they come to your Ganxy widget and type it in. Then Ganxy walks the reader through a series of simple questions like, "What eReader do you have?" and actually guides the reader to download the right version. THEN Ganxy explains how that reader can easily get the eBook onto their device. They don't just give you the book, they make sure your readers get the right version and know how to read it. That's awesome.

What do you think? Would you use Ganxy for promotions and sales on your site?
