Abby's Ultimate Dance Competition: What's in store for next week?

Week 2 of the reality show Abby's Ultimate Dance Competition on Lifetime is shaping up to be a fun one. According to the preview, the episode will have a Lady Gaga theme, and Mother Monster herself will appear (if only briefly, and apparently via recorded video).

This is an excellent theme, and here's why: Lady Gaga not only has pumped out dance hit after dance hit, she also has worked hard to transform herself from a really very terrible dancer to the dance sensation we see today. I say this as a long-time Lady Gaga fan (I was first smitten by "Just Dance" which was released in early 2008 ahead of her first album The Fame). Watch her early videos. She's terrible! And it is downright painful painful to watch Beyonce throttle down her skills to dance Lady Gaga-style in the Telephone video.

It's not her fault; Lady Gaga is, was, and will always be a musician first and foremost. (I would argue that she is an artist second, and a dancer third.) She had no real dance training until she became a big enough hit to hire a team of choreographers and trainers to get her on track.

Lady Gaga is also an outspoken woman with an incredible talent, a genuine appreciation for her fans, a willingness to push the artistic boundary, and a reputation in the industry for being a nice person who supports her team and is easy to work with. Frankly I think she is a great role model for young women, and a great fit for Abby Lee's show.

Also I am really hoping that JoJo will wear a meat dress. PLEASE JOJO WEAR A MEAT DRESS. Seeing JoJo dancing in a meat dress would complete me as a person.
