PopAGraph iPhone app makes your photos pop
Have you ever wanted to make your iPhone photos pop? Photos are a way of expressing ourselves, so we want to make them as unique as possible. PopaGraph launched an app recently that will help you emphasize elements within a picture for creative and dramatic effects.
Popagraph has a number of combinations of filters, frames and backgrounds that work together to give your images a 3D-like effect. They'll have the appearance of popping off the page. This is accomplished by applying filters to the background or the lifted part of the image. Several options are available for frames; you can add four frames to each photo. You can change the color or the roundness of the corners on each frame. The frames are what give the photos the 3D effect.
To use PopAGraph, select an image from your camera roll. Choose an element within that photo that you want to draw attention to. It can be a person or object. Use your finger to draw a line around the element that you want to "pop". Once the end of the line is connected to the beginning, the app fills in the person or object, and the rest of the photo will become the background. Apply filters to the background and/or the popped element to get your desired effect. Once you've applied filters, the next step is to use frames. You'll need to use these if you want the 3D look, but admittedly, they can look a little cheesy.
You are only able to work on one photo at a time. If you select a new one, you'll lose your previous work. Despite this limitation, edits only a take a few minutes, so you're not out a lot of time if you do lose your work. The above photo is an example (albeit not the best example) of what you can do with PopAGraph for iPhone. The popped image is on the left, and the original is on the right. If you have a steadier finger (and perhaps a more slender one), your contouring will likely be much better.
Have you used PopAGraph? What's your favorite feature?
