I will readily admit that I am obsessed with productivity apps. Unfortunately, I spend so much time checking them out that, at times, I'm not very productive. Some, though, are true gems. EasilyDo Smart Assistant is one of those apps. It is a free personal assistant app for both iOS and Android devices. Simply connect the app to your various online services like Facebook, email and your calendar, and wait for the app to find things that it can easily do.
Do you want to know about the traffic report for your daily commute? No problem. It can even notify you when to leave and warn you of bad weather. It can organize your contacts and add new ones based off of recent communications from your inbox. The app also files receipts, notifies you of birthdays and can even track packages for you.
The best aspect of the app, really, is that it pulls from several different apps so that you don't have to look at all of them in order to do what you need to do. For example, the birthdays of my Facebook friends are automatically put on my phone's calendar, but I hate having to open up the Facebook app just to say "Happy Birthday." Perhaps I'd like to just say it from where I see the birthday in the first place, or maybe I'd like to mail a card and need the mailing address instead.
When you first open the app, it imports birthdays, anniversaries and events from Facebook. It asks for permission to access your location (I've noticed no significant battery drain from this) and to send you push notifications (yes, please). It even found duplicates of many of my contacts and offered to merge them for me.
If you haven't yet tried EasilyDo, I highly recommend it. What's your favorite productivity app at the moment?
