Aw!
Twitter moves fast to ban MS-DOS games in Tweets
A few days ago, some people discovered that you can embed playable MS-DOS games in tweets. The internet had a great time - for a few days. Twitter swiftly moved to block the functionality, based on a violation of their Terms of Service for the Player Cards system, which is what had been used to deliver the games.
Player Cards allow developers to embed things like audio and video files directly into tweets. The rules for Player Cards specifically prohibit their use for gaming. But why? If people want to play an embedded version of Wolfenstein 3D, I think Twitter should let them!
