Twinkies will return July 15

Hostess has announced that Twinkies will return to grocery stores starting July 15. The sponge cake snacks have been missing for months, thanks to a company bankruptcy that left Twinkie the Kid out on the streets.

Hostess declared bankruptcy after failing to come to an agreement with its unions. The brand was bought by a company that does not employ union labor. So I guess in addition to all their other flaws, Twinkies will now basically be a scab pastry. Delightful.

Stay tuned for July 16: the day when everyone realizes that Twinkies were actually not very good to begin with.
