Three Reasons To Start Watching Supernatural Before It's Too Late
After ten thrilling sesaons, the CW's Supernatural is drawing to an intense close and fans all over the world are still not ready to say goodbye. If you've yet to familiarize yourself with this staggering cult TV phenomenon, here are just a few reasons why I think you should start watching it as soon as humanly possible.
The Mythos
When someone says the word “supernatural,” what comes to mind? For most of us, it's ghosts and vengeful spirits. It's true that Supernatural does begin with stereotypical stories of hauntings and things that go bump in the night, but the writers were not content to let themselves be pigeonholed. The show explores everything from time travel to the complex politics of angels and demons, providing its audience with a seemingly bottomless universe of truly fascinating lore.
The Boys
In my experience, most shows that are rife with eye candy don't have much else going for them. Such is not the case with Supernatural. Not only is the series home to some of the most gorgeous guys on television (Jensen Ackles, Jared Padalecki, Misha Collins and Mark Sheppard, to name a few), it also greatly emphasizes each of their individual talents and eccentricities, making them much more than pretty faces. These boys are simply some of the most entertaining you're ever likely to see on TV.
The Fandom
Never in my thirty one years as a fangirl have I ever met a group of fans more unique and outright fun than those of Supernatural. The best part is? The show agrees. Renowned for episodic (not to mention epic) tributes to their viewers, Supernatural doesn't just appreciate its fans; it cherishes them.
