Will Ray Lewis finish his career in Denver?

The road to the Super Bowl stops in Denver

If you type Ray Lewis retirement into Google, more than a handful of memes talking about Ray Lewis’ last game will come up. With the Ravens having beaten the Colts, earning a chance to play the Denver Broncos at home, many believe that Ray Lewis will see his final NFL action in the stadium formally known as Mile High.

The last time the Ravens and Broncos met, Ray Lewis was sidelined. Though the relevance of this is debated, the fact of the matter is, the previous meeting of these two teams was an all out slaughter fest. Denver destroyed the Ravens on their home turf in what turned out to be a 34-17 victory. The Ravens now are coming off of a playoff win against a team with a rookie quarterback, and believe this, as well as regaining their former Pro Bowl linebacker, will give enough momentum to make a run at Denver in the Mile High City.

Regardless of morale in Baltimore, the facts show that Denver hasn’t lost since the month of November. They are riding a NFL high winning streak, and the Sheriff himself, Mr. Payton Manning, is looking strong as ever in his first season back after having four neck surgeries.  The Ravens have been a lackluster team this season, and without a solid performance from star back Ray Rice, the Ravens don’t stand a chance against the Super Bowl Favorite Denver Broncos.

Tune in this weekend as the Broncos and Ravens square off on January 12 at Invesco Field in Denver at 4:30 p.m. EST. The game will be televised on CBS, and is the second playoff game of the day. If the Ravens do pull off an upset, they will meet the winners of the Houston Texans vs. The New England Patriots in the AFC Championship the following weekend.
