The Adult Swim scoop

Adult Swim continues to dominate the airwaves with the coveted "18 to 24" demographic, referred to by its parent company as "Basic cable's #1 network with young adults for seven consecutive years." The network's returns have built season after season, with the 2012-2013 season finishing out to be one of the best ones yet.

Venture Bros: Delayed
Surprise! The premiere of the fifth season of Venture Brothers has been delayed. Oh, wait, you're not surprised? Yeah, me either.

Venture Bros must be the most consistently delayed show on television. It's a miracle the show is still being produced at this rate. I have been an ardent fan since the first season, but the show is ten years old and Season 5 isn't even finished. This is crazy.

Bob's Burgers: Bought
Adult Swim has bought the off-network rights to the delightful and amazing (and always on time) Bob's Burgers, and will be added to the time slot's introductory line-up starting this summer. Adult Swim will be paying $500,000 per episode for Bob's Burgers (same as they pay for The Cleveland Show) which makes me excited that the future of this incredible show is a little more secure.

Boards of Canada: New
To promote the hotly anticipated launch of their new album, Boards of Canada took to Adult Swim airwaves on April 27 with a 90 second commercial that merges clips of music from the new album with classic bumper-style pensive cinematography. The clip includes part of a mysterious numerical code which fans have been collecting in order to reveal the secret (it's a password that unlocks a secret video).

This partnership is only fitting, given that clips from their singles (including "The Campfire Headphase" and others) have often been used by Adult Swim on their bumps. (Surely I can't be the only person who first heard of the band via Adult Swim bumper music?)
