Fandom Crafts: LOTR Fellowship cloak

This weekend I became obsessed with Gotland wool. This fiber is similar to a lustrous English longwool, and has a beautiful silvery color. Oh and also, this is the fiber that was used (undyed) to create all of the Elven cloaks and scarves in the Lord of the Rings movies. 

If you covet the gorgeous cloaks, you can buy the official licensed product from Stansborough, which is the small New Zealand farm and mill that the LOTR crew tapped to provideall of the Gotland textiles for the movies. These limited edition cloaks are created with wool from the very same sheep shorn for the LOTR textiles. I don't usually highlight commercial products in the Fandom Crafts category, but this one is an exception.
