Where to find free Kindle cookbooks on the net.

Free Kindle cookbooks

I love new cookbooks. I like reading through all the recipes and marking the pages of the ones I'd like to try. Unfortunately, that can get expensive, especially when you can't even justify the costs. As much as I love cookbooks, I tend to stick to the old tried and true recipes most of the time, only venturing to try a new one once in a while. I will never be able to cook all the recipes in every book I have, yet I'm still drawn to them. I've found a way to satiate my appetite for cookbooks while keeping costs low: Free Kindle cookbooks! They're only free for a limited time, so if you're interested in one, snatch it up immediately. Here are a few sites that are updated regularly with free Kindle cookbooks.

Healthy Carrot: I enjoy browsing this site for free cookbooks because she features health-focused titles. Not all of them are cookbooks (some are geared toward natural/healthy living) but most of them are. Recent freebies posted there include "Fast Quinoa Recipes," "Superfoods" and "40 Juicing Recipes for Weight Loss and Healthy Living."

Hillbilly Housewife: This is one of my favorite sites, mostly for her frugal tips. She also posts "Free and Cheap" Kindle cookbooks weekly. There are usually combinations of healthy eating books, comfort food, slow cooker recipes and more. This week, you'll even find a freebie to teach you how to make homemade jams and jellies. Yum!

Amazon: If you don't mind browsing through a lot of titles you may or may not be interested in, just go straight to the source. I type in "Kindle cookbooks" to the site's search box and then sort by price from low to high. The free cookbooks will appear first. To me, this is the easiest way to find cookbooks because it's always up-to-date. If you're into the Paleo diet, you'll find lots of free cookbooks focusing on Paleo-friendly recipes.

Keep in mind that you don't even need a Kindle to download these. You can read Kindle books on your smartphone or on your computer.
