Kicking off a new weekly segment for freebies.

Free eBooks, crafts lessons and more

Who doesn't love freebies? I know I do, especially when it comes to eBooks and music. Every Friday, I'll be doing a Freebies post on the Simple Saving blog. Don't forget to check in to see if you can score some freebies! Here are the goodies for this week (a day late).

eBooks:

The Beautiful Home: Decorating Ideas on a Budget for Your Dream Home

This eBook by Michelle Stewart offers cost-effective tips on decorating any space. According to the reviews, she even does a section on creating a Writer's Room for $75. Since I'm no Martha Stewart when it comes to decorating, I'm looking forward to reading the tips in this book.

How to Write a Book This Weekend

This book by Vic Johnson promises to teach you how to write a book in one weekend, "even if you flunked English like I did." Johnson is the author of many books, including several on self-help topics and making money online. Unfortunately, the book doesn't have any reviews on Amazon, so I'd love to know what you think of it if you get the chance to read it before I do.

Classes/Crafts:

Bag-Making Basics

This is a free online sewing class to teach you how to make reversible tote bags and zipper pouches. According to the course description, you'll learn how to make a flat bottom for your tote, how to make handles, clever tricks for inserting zippers and more. You'll learn from 6 HD video lessons as Kristin Link from Sew, Mama, Sew! takes you through each step.

DVDs:

Free Stossel DVD: Good Intentions Gone Wrong

This DVD  and accompanying teacher guide is free for teachers and homeschoolers. The DVD includes 10 segments from Stossel's TV program designed to spark discussion in the classroom. If you don't want to wait for the DVD, you can also view the segments in streaming video.
