Plus Catching Fire deleted scenes, benefits of rebounding & more

Weekly Medley: Make something new

Want a cool challenge that’s not too difficult and not as cheesy as a New Year’s resolution? Try a make something challenge where you make something new once a day for a predetermined amount of time. Choose anywhere between a week, a month or even a year! Need some ideas about where to start? Try making root beer, or any of these fun projects. Poems, crafts and paintings all count, too!

Have you heard about rebounding and its benefits? I’m not talking about relationships gone sour, either! It sounds pretty amazing, and I used to love bouncing on trampolines when I was a teenager. Hmm…

We got our copy of Catching Fire and it has deleted scenes! Don’t have a copy? Watch the scenes here.

For some reason, tourists like to visit Machu Picchu in the nude. Peruvian law enforcement is cracking down on this weird trend, so you might not want to try it!

NASA hasn’t found the “Planet X” that people love to speculate about, but it has found thousands of new stars, which is pretty cool.

March 14 is Pi Day! How will you be celebrating? I may write a post dedicated to pi (and pie) later in the week. Other holidays and observances you and your family might want to celebrate this week include Girl Scouts Day (March 12), Popcorn Lover’s Day (March 13), Einstein’s birthday (also the 13th), and National Quilting Day (March 15). Don’t forget that Sunday March 16 is Freedom of Information Day!
