Tasty Tuesday: Yummy homemade vitamin water
I saw so many delicious recipes on Facebook this week that I had to make today a Tasty Tuesday blog! Here are some yummy recipes that I plan on using soon.
Spring Cleanse Vitamin Water—There’s lemon, blackberry sage, raspberry lime and more. Each one is supposed to have its own healthful or cleansing properties, but I’m happy with the fruity flavor alone. I wonder how they’d be with carbonated water… I am so making ALL of these this spring and summer!
Beer Battered Grilled Cheese with Bacon—Hoooooly cow. I may make this today! And you can easily substitute Facon for the bacon. You could probably even use tomatoes; I like cucumbers on my grilled cheese sandwiches, too. My husband is drooling over this one; he may have to have it for his lunch this week.
Cream Cheese Brownie Swirls—Again, why am I not making these right this moment? You’ll have to excuse me…
Here are a couple of action items for Take Action Tuesday as well:
Remember the whole “don’t say gay” ridiculousness in Kentucky and other states? Louisiana takes it a whole step further and demands that teachers tell students that it is a crime—I am not kidding here—to be gay. This is obviously an outright lie, but that doesn’t stop the law from actually requiring teachers to tell this to students! Join All Out in calling for this law—which should be illegal for so many reasons—to be repealed.
And if you read about that heinous “sex ed” speaker used in so many public schools yesterday, you may want to help ensure that fact-based sex ed is enforced in schools instead. Join Choice USA in calling for inclusive, evidence-based education in all public schools.
