Tasty Tuesday: Pizza boats
We are definitely making these fun pizza boats from Free Homeschool Deals this week. Pizza and broccoli are Wood Sprite’s favorite foods and I think she’ll love these.
Banana muffins with walnut streusel? Yes, please! Or how about a chocolate peanut butter banana shake? The Messy Baker Blog shares how to make both.
Looking to reduce your cholesterol? Try these foods from Homegrown and Healthy once a week.
Here is a recipe for an immune system boosting drink from Everyday Roots, and I am betting that you could even add a pinch of ginger or cayenne to up the benefits factor.
Friends, I have had “Make apple butter” on my Living to Do list for over 10 years. I’ve never bothered to look it up; there are, after all, nearly 1000 things on that list and I’m only about a third of the way there. I had no idea it was so simple! I ran across this recipe from Mostly Food and Crafts, and now I have to make it. It’s a sign. From apples and the blogosphere. You can’t ignore that.
Even though I don’t pack a lunch for school, we do pack for co-op and park days sometimes, and I am just smitten with the idea of the bento box. I used to make bento-like muffin pans of treats for Wood Sprite when she was little but got out of the habit. Now I think this could be a fun hobby—and something that would delight her on occasion. Meet the Dubiens has a wonderful blog that features so many Bento lunch ideas.
