Tasty Tuesday: Lemon Icebox Pie

Just the thought of a slice of this decadent lemon icebox pie had my stomach growling today. It was in the high 90s all day and scorching, and I know this would have hit the spot. This is a little more complicated that the recipes that I normally gravitate toward, but I think I could totally pull it off.

And if you don’t love lemon, how about some cinnamon sugar pull-apart bread? It looks easy enough—as well as flaky and delicious, which is how anything cinnamon-y should be. Well, except cider.

Wood Sprite’s taekwondo teacher shared this link of pre-workout snacks for energy and health, and I thought I would pass it along. These eight high-energy foods are great for physically active people (including Wood Sprite). They include protein shakes, fruits, pistachios and more. Some of these have me thinking I want to work out just to eat them… I’m not a big breakfast eater, but I may have to mix some cereal and yogurt tomorrow.

Check out this banana bread in a jar! Wood Sprite and I make banana bread at least once a month. We go through bananas like crazy—I don’t like them because my mom used to make me take my medicine in them as a kid, but I still eat them because they’re good for me—and when we have a couple go old on us during a busy week, we’ll just make them into bread. We’ll have to give this one a try.
