Plus banned foods, benefits of garlic, brain boosting smoothies and more

Tasty Tuesday: Autumn Brittle

I ran across this recipe for autumn brittle on Facebook and thought it looked delicious! It has all kinds of yummy ingredients in it, like pumpkin seeds and cranberries, and I am betting that it is a filling, healthy treat that’s perfect for fall trail walks and play dates.

Do you love garlic? Boy, do we! Wood Sprite even likes it on her popcorn. Did you know that eating raw garlic just twice a week might be able to lower your risk of cancer by 44 percent?

A homemade lemonade with probiotics sounds weird, but it does exist. And it’s not even that weird; if you have yogurt, you can make it. And it looks pretty yummy, too.

While you might find these 10 foods tasty, they are banned in other nations—so you might want to reconsider eating them. And some of them are probably going to make you weep. Oh well, I like my mac n cheese homemade anyway!

These frozen yogurt covered strawberry pops may be the next currency, they look so good. I could totally see myself charging people these.

And speaking of cake pops, here are some treats made with pumpkin! YUM.

This brain-boosting smoothie looks pretty delicious, too. It has orange juice, a peach, spinach, blueberries, a banana and spirulina in it. If it doesn’t taste like the spirulina, I bet it’s awesome.

Got puffy eyes? Try making some cucumber gel. Okay, I know that’s not a food. How about these cucumber chips, then?
