Plus chocolate-covered bananas, brunch goodness and blondies

Tasty Tues: Cornbread & cheesecakes

How about some super fancy cornbread? This recipe has it all—cumin, cloves, red pepper flakes, cinnamon, molasses and pumpkin! And it’s gluten-free. It sounds like a meal in and of itself to me.

Check out these fall leaf-shaped cheesecakes! They do have food coloring in them and I know a lot of parents stay away from that (and I totally get it with some of the research I’ve read), but you could make them in the molds without the food coloring and still make really cute cakes. What do you use as alternative food colorings, if any? I’ve heard of herbs to add for color but they add flavor too, right?

These chocolate-covered bananas look really easy to make, and most of us either have co-ops, school sales, or other activities where we need to feel a lot of kids coming up soon. Some of us have these events every day! These would make super simple yet yummy treats, and you could always experiment with different coatings, too.

Having people over for brunch? This comfort breakfast bake would probably impress most guests that you have. It looks like you could easily substitute any veggies, proteins or fake meats and cheeses for the ingredients and really make it your own thing, too.

These apple pie blondies with brown sugar frosting look pretty amazing, and apparently they are quite nutritious, too. They contain applesauce, oat flour, hazelnut oil and a special “healthy” caramel sauce. Check it out, it’s interesting—and it looks so yummy, especially for fall.
