How about some turkey quesadillas?

Tastings this week

11/30/13

Wood Sprite and I made the ooey, gooey chocolate cookie recipe from last week. We didn’t have Dove chocolates on hand, so we just used leftover Halloween candy. They are really delicious—all three of us haven’t been able to leave them alone, and I was hoping to share them with company! I may have to buy more chocolate (Dove this time, perhaps) to make some more and share them because they were just that good.

We were watching a bit of Food Network last week and saw Sandra from Semi-Homemade make some turkey quesadillas with leftovers from Thanksgiving. So guess what we made for brunch on Black Friday? Black Friday Brunch is totally going to be our new tradition. Alongside cheesy potato casserole, homemade cranberry sauce and some sour cream, these were major crowd pleasers. We only used cheddar and leftover turkey in our quesadillas, but feel free to add whatever you like. Sandra mixed her cranberry sauce with her sour cream, but we all like ours differently so only I mixed mine. They were very delicious!

How about some crème brulee donuts? I have not yet made these desserts, but I am betting they will be a hit if I do. I’ve mentioned before that I don’t like donuts much, but the rest of my crew does so it’s always worth trying something everyone else is going to enjoy.

How about you? What were the highlights of your Thanksgiving meals this week? Share them below in the comments.
