Get a free set of social studies lessons for a whole year from Here We Are Together. A new country is added every week and this looks like a really fun set of activities!

Outback Steakhouse has new Happy Hour promotions for just $4. You can get these “bar food” items all day. They include coconut shrimp, barbecue chips, margarita flatbread and more. Drinks include a red apple martini, Aussie rum punch and a Gold Coast rita. Indy and I have the most dates in November, since it’s my birthday month and the only present I ever ask for is babysitting, so hopefully we’ll get to take advantage of some of these deals.

Red Lobster has new daily deals, too, but I’m not a big fan. I really like their cheese sticks and Cajun chicken but that’s about it. I know, I’m an anomaly!

The Happy Housewife has some fire prevention worksheets to download. October is Fire Safety Month, so you might want to review fire safety stuff in your home—and be sure to check your smoke alarm batteries if you haven’t already. (A good tip is to do that during daylight savings time twice per year.)
