And my recommendation this week is the YA novel The Body Finder by Kimberly Derting. It’s a fascinating romance featuring supernatural elements, as the heroine has the unique ability to sense both dead bodies as well as their killers. What I think teens will love about it is that it’s so normal—there are football games, dances and the typical high school drama—but the characters are likeable and have their own personalities. I love that it includes several girl friends that the main character remains close with as well as her best friend/love interest. It’s funny as well as suspenseful, and it features the exact kinds of drama you expect in high school along with the mysterious components. I think a lot of teens will really enjoy this one.
