Years ago, I used to print and make gifts to include in Wood Sprite’s Christmas stocking, Easter basket and other gifts. One year I even made her a bunch of toilet paper tube animals for Easter—a frog, a chick, a lamb and other little puppets. All I did was glue on features that I drew with markers on construction paper and she adored them! I’m telling you, toddlers do not need much.
My absolute favorite website to find printable toys is The Toymaker. There are such beautiful toys there. One year I made Wood Sprite a couple of boxes from the website and she adored them (of course, she loves boxes and organizational containers; I have no idea where she gets that from!). Print out miniature homes, baskets, animals and so many other fun paper craft toys to enjoy.
Dollar Store Crafts is featuring a list of 10 free print and fold crafts that you can use for similar gift giving or playing with your children. I love the birdhouse and paper toy camper! Which one(s) do you like best? If you end up printing out any and using them, be sure to tell me about them in the comments.
Paper Toys also has some fun printable models you can use for free.
Of course, you can also always make your own paper dolls and finger puppets with construction paper, craft sticks and anything else you have around the house.
Do you have any favorite paper toys that your family enjoys making? Tell us about them in the comments.
