October is always the busiest month of the year for us. Not only is Wood Sprite’s birthday in October, but so are all of the Halloween festivities—which are, of course, not to be missed!
From “Boo at the Zoo” to Grant’s Farm’s Halloween, we are having lots of fall fun. Perhaps too much, because I’m also hosting a 4-H Halloween party, a Halloween experiments class, a Halloween art class and a Harry Potter party—on top of all of the other things we are doing!
It’s a little too much, because we’re also doing (or have done) the things below. Here are just some ideas for your October bucket list…
Halloween Movie Marathon: We’re watching Corpse Bride, It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown! and Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas. Indy and I will probably watch some scarier films once Wood Sprite goes to bed, too.
Pumpkin Picking: This is a must! We’re going with one of our homeschool groups to a great place where there’s also a petting zoo, a hay ride, some other rides, a stage performance and much more.
Trail Walk: Sprite had a wonderful hike with Indy and some other members of our homeschool group on Thursday.
Sisters’ Day: We had a wonderful day eating pizza and watching The Croods with my sisters earlier in the week.
We also have Girl Scouts, archery, a bird sanctuary program, a farmsteading program, several library activities, an apple butter festival, a photography class and much more to do this fall! What’s in store for your October?
