Today’s medley is focused more on fun things to do since we are snowed in and need some play time! If it wasn’t so darned cold (negative seven the last time I checked), we’d play more outside. As it is, we are darting out for a tiny bit of snow fun, then returning just as quickly.
Wood Sprite made an obstacle course that she really enjoyed. It included a rolled-up yoga mat for a tightrope, some pillows to jump over and a spider web between kitchen chairs to meander through made from crepe paper. It was her coolest one yet! What kinds of obstacle courses do you and your family make?
Ever made sugar on snow before? It is so delicious! We made the version with syrup, butter and vanilla today and it was really good. We had some of Indy’s homemade pickles with it and it was even better! (Think pickles and candy sounds weird? It’s a Vermont tradition! Check out several recipes and some other fun snow day activities at A Magical Childhood. Check out the snow car art!)
Make some reversible ribbon bracelets to brighten up the scenery—and your wardrobe.
Make some homemade dryer sheets to share with your family. This is just what we needed, too—we are using our own DIY soap and now we need some good, natural dryer sheets.
