Plus salted whiskey caramels, superfoods and more

Make some raspberry peach lemonade

Even though I missed Tasty Tuesdays this week, I still have a bunch of recipes and food-related stories to share with you, so I am posting them today. The first is this delicious-looking recipe for raspberry peach lemonade. It looks sooo good, and there are only four ingredients: agave nectar, raspberries, peaches, and lemon juice.

And speaking of really simple foods with simple ingredients, this apple cake looks yummy. You just mix a packet of angel food cake with apple pie filling and cook it—yummy!

Then there are these better-than-fries potatoes, which look like dessert to me. They are so easy to prepare; we’ve made them with cheese on top before and it’s even better.

And here’s a sweet, creamy and delicious alternative to icing—which I pretty much want right now. It has less sugar and it only calls for pudding, whipped cream and milk.

At this link, you can find 15 foods that can help you slim down—supposedly. Every person’s body is different, though, so use a grain of salt with claims like these.

These seven superfoods from around the world are supposed to carry a wide variety of health benefits—what do you think? I’m actually attempting to take spirulina now, but it’s SO gross and I haven’t been able to find a better way to take it yet.

And finally, here’s a decadent recipe for some salted whiskey caramels. Holy cow, do these look good. I’m a big salted caramel kind of gal—which has to stop while I’m pregnant, I’m afraid—and this is probably something I’d ask for during my last meal.
