Holiday Recipes: Christmas baking

Have you started your holiday baking yet? If not, here is a sweet sugar cookie recipe that you can use for making cute, ornament-shaped cookies. (Or you can just buy a loaf of sugar cookie dough and bake it!)

Need some holiday appetizers? I shared some last week, but here are many more ideas. I love the holiday shaped cucumber sandwiches! You could really turn any favorite finger sandwich into a holiday treat with the right cookie cutter, and you can serve jams and jellies on the side for an even more festive, red appearance.

What kinds of apps are you serving this year? We normally just cut up veggies and have them out with dip for the holidays, though sometimes we also put pretzels out. It’s very low key, but I could see us making some intricate hors d’oeuvres for our meal instead.

If you like green bean casserole for the holidays—a treat that I only recently started to enjoy—how about green bean casserole stuffed in mushrooms?
