Holiday decorating
During the holidays, we love to make our own decorations and save them to use year after year. Sometimes they do break, which is probably fortunate since we make many more the next year anyway! What are your favorite things to use when decorating for the holidays? Here are a few new ideas that we like.
Make your own paper pinecones for table settings. Aren’t they beautiful?
These cork crafts are pretty cute. I may have to start asking friends and family to save their corks for us (we already have soda bottles and toilet paper rolls from them coming in quite often!).
These gingerbread marshmallows will decorate your hot cocoa mug nicely!
How about these adorable Christmas cupcake ornaments? Cupcakes seem to really be in this year; I’ve seen kids wearing cupcake shirts and earrings everywhere.
Use this tutorial for how to draw the Grinch, then use your new Grinch skills on some fun holiday banners, cards and other artwork. How cute would a Grinch bunting be for a holiday party? I’m actually hosting a couple of them myself, so there’s an idea…!
Here are some gorgeous ideas for a Christmas mantel from Craftberry Bush. We don’t have a mantel, but I really like the classic feel of this. I feel myself moving more towards the classics, especially when winter approaches.
Add some antlers to everything! Wood Sprite has been making golden antlers out of pipe cleaners all week and adding them to her stuffed animals. They look especially cute on her zhu zhu pets.
