Holiday Crafts: Christmas pine cones

Looking for some festive crafts for your upcoming time indoors during the winter storm? Here are a bunch of fun things to do. Don’t forget to make time to play in the snow afterward if you can!

The Crafty Crow has some cool ideas for Christmas tree pine cones in plaster.

These mini-wreath ornaments from cardboard and pipe cleaners at U Create are so cute and sparkly! I cannot have enough holiday sparkle this year—we keep adding glittery stuff to the tree—so you know we had to make these. Confession: Wood Sprite made two of them while I wrote this! She thought the blue and gold one looked like Wolverine, so we had to add a couple of embellishments (see photo above).

Check out these beautiful silhouette ornaments from Bella Dia! They look really simple to make and I bet they would be really eye-catching on the tree.

Need an easier, small kid-friendly wreath? Try this tissue paper idea from Filth Wizardry. I love that there are two different versions, so you can make one with littles and one with elementary-aged kids. I am also becoming a fan of big, bold decorations as opposed to the teeny, tiny ones I usually like. What can I say, they take less time to decorate with and they’re easier to take down!
