Get involved with summer projects
Do you make a summer bucket list? The photo at above is of my daughter’s Not Bummer Summer checklist from last year. This weekend, we plan on making a new one. We never did get around to seeing a moose last year, so I have no idea what she’ll want to do this summer! If you make one, feel free to post the link to it (or a photo of it) below.
For a couple of ideas, how about..
A DIY sprinkler or overflowing flower pot tower?
Or find a new use for salt!
And you gotta admit that visiting these glowing caves would be a really cool item to check off.
Start a new family tradition. A fun one we do is hide an alien toy every time someone comes to visit. The person who finds it has to hide it again!
Play tourist somewhere local you’ve never been before.
My husband’s planning on trying every flavor at our local sno-cone stand!
Perhaps your teen could even come up with a cool, portable alternative energy source like this one.
You can also get involved with some really fun swap projects this summer. My daughter and I love PostCrossing, which I’ve written about before, but there are a few other homeschool swap projects, such as the Around the World Project and Homeschool Swap Adventures.
And here are some fun uplifting quotes, homeschooling graphics and other fun images for your week from…
And a not-so-happy cartoon about standardized testing.
