Friday Fun: Snowflake stenciling

Check out these fun snowflake stencil paintings! I never would have thought of using snowflakes as stencils but it totally makes sense. We need a new design on the outside of our compost box and this would be a really cool way to get a tie dye effect going with layers of spray paint.
How about making your own golden checkerboard? A Beautiful Mess seems to be into all things gold this month and I’m loving it.
Making a new home office this year (or remodeling your current one)? Here are some great DIY home office ideas.
How adorable are these felt animal envelopes? Wood Sprite is going to take one look at these and want to make a dozen of them. We need to make a felt run anyway!
Check out my piece about easy valentine making, or use this guide from Kiwi Crate for making 15 other cool valentine creations. They also have a list of 10 tasty valentine treats you may want to make together this weekend (or for your valentine’s party).
Here’s another 8 fun card ideas from DIY Enthusiasts. They aren’t as simple but they are pretty cool. Some of them are even a bit complicated for kids, but I’d love to make them as decorations myself. They also have 19 cool decorating ideas for the holiday.
Want to make a cute Valentine wreath? Dollar Store Crafts has a bunch of great ideas. I love the ribbon one especially, but all of them are pretty. And these cement hearts are absolutely lovely—I think Wood Sprite’s going to get a kick out of them! We’ve been making little faces on plastic hearts we bought from the Dollar Store already, but this is more DIY.
