Friday Fun: Miniature kitchens

Check out this adorable miniature kitchen set that you can make with an Altoids container! I’ve been running across a lot of Altoids container crafts lately. What do you like to make with them?

Make your own Captain America shield with this fun idea. I’m thinking of making one for Wood Sprite’s holiday gifts this year.

Get out some bright paper, a hole puncher, some glue and other odds and ends and see what you and your family can come up with on the next rainy day.

Head to the dollar bins at Target, Wal-Mart or wherever and give your kids a $3 budget (pay the tax for them) and see what they can come up with for a new project. We bought some finger-shaped molds for Halloween last week that we can’t wait to use!

Kiwi Crate has a bunch of fun fall craft ideas using real leaves. I love the idea with the metallic pens! Have you done any of these? Post your photos in your own post or share your blog links in the comments below and I’ll share them as a special blog of user crafts here.

Make some Halloween braids with this simple tutorial from Geek Mom! These are designed for Middle Earth characters (dwarves in particular) but I can think of other characters you could use them for—from pirates to Dothraki warriors in Song of Ice and Fire.

Speaking of Middle Earth, ever wanted to fly on an eagle’s back? Here is your chance with this cool video featuring a bird’s eye view, courtesy of a tiny camera on the back of this rehabilitated eagle in France.
