Friday Fun: Hanging ornament vases
Even if you’ve already “put Christmas away,” as we have, you can still make these lovely hanging vases out of clear Christmas ornaments if you take advantage of all of the sales going on right now. Grab some clear ornaments for a buck and make them in minutes for some beautiful winter and spring decorations.
Take part in the January Experiments at Daisy Yellow. Her challenges are always the most creative! She has seven different challenges for January for a total of 15 points (yes, she assigns point value!).
Make 10 different scarves without a sewing needle! I love all of these ideas, but the first one with the funky colors and fabric scraps is my favorite.
Use the red netting your cuties or other fruit comes in and stuff it with all of your scrap yarn this month (we have a ton since Wood Sprite loves to cut it up), then hang it outside for the birds to use as they build their nests. I’ve posted about this before but this time we are actually doing it!
Browse through the Dollar Store Crafts’ 10 best projects of the year to learn how to make a sink mat rug, cracked glass stones and much more.
Make an instant superhero cape in minutes with a pair of scissors and an old t-shirt you have on hand. Wood Sprite has so many t-shirts that she’d love to keep that she has outgrown that would actually work well for this project, too. Normally she uses her old clothing to dress her stuffed animals but this would be even better!
