Freebies for your homeschooling
Although my family does not use a particular curriculum, that does not meant that we have no use of activities, experiments and resources that typical homeschoolers use. Here are a few freebies I ran across while looking for things for Wood Sprite this week.
If you have a budding journalist on your hands, you might want to make a resource pack for him or her. Here’s a complete DIY journalism curriculum; feel free to add or eliminate resources to make it fit your family’s needs.
Educents has a free reading intervention program for download. It’s 44 pages and consists of sight word lessons, a recording system and more.
Get a free Counting Numbers app for iTunes. For additional free apps, check out Smart Apps for Kids.
Learning about manners? These free books, websites and resources might help. (Wood Sprite gets a kick out of the video Look, Mom, I Have Good Manners! We don’t even agree with everything they say, but she enjoys “playing” the game.)
Get over 100 math puzzles with a New Year’s theme from Currclick. Currclick usually has several freebies going on, so be sure to check back often. Right now, if you check out with the freebie, it will list a bunch of other freebies in the right-hand column on the same page.
Need a way to document your field trips? Here are some free records to use for keeping track. Don’t forget to take lots of pictures!
The same website, Only Passionate Curiosity, has a TON of free resources in a free links section here.
