DIY this weekend: Tree stump table with bling

Holy cow, do I want to make this studded tree stump table from A Beautiful Mess! Isn’t it gorgeous? It’s so strange looking but it would work really well in my bedroom (not so well in my neutral living room). The beautiful thing is that we are clearing out the brush from our backyard and looking for something to do with all of it, so if we end up with any stumps this might be in our future.

Make your own fringe scarf without sewing a thing with this DIY tutorial from Crème de la Craft. There are all kinds of scarves like this popping up; Wood Sprite and I made an infinity one a few weeks ago by just cutting and stretching a t-shirt! All of these ideas would make really great gifts, especially if you have loved ones with spring or winter birthdays.

Creative Jewish Mom has a roundup of some really cool DIY projects for the holiday Tu B’Shevat, including giant cherry blossoms that you can use to decorate your home.

Skip buying an expensive bird feeder and just string popcorn on floral wire to feed the birds this winter. Or you can always build your own feeder out of scrap wood, a milk carton or whatever you have laying around. Make them even cuter by shaping them like owls before you hang them up!

Make a beautiful recycled wreath for Valentine’s Day with this idea from Creating a Green World. I love the effects from the hole punching and if I make one of these, you know I’m going to add glitter to mine!
