DIY This Week: Shed from wood pallets

11/12/13

My family is on a huge DIY kick right now. We are finding free wood pallets everywhere and using them for everything! Sunday Indy made our archery range hay holder out of pallets, and this week he’s going to start on Wood Sprite’s clubhouse. We are very excited about all of these fun projects. Here are some others that I ran across.

These pallet ideas are pretty cool—I really like the dog house idea! There are also sheds, a hen house and other pallet plans included in the link.

This idea isn’t exactly a DIY building project, but it’s still a great idea: Use wax to un-stick a stuck zipper. Wood Sprite has several jackets that we could try this with.

Need an indoor drying rack but lack the space for one? Here’s a DIY project you can make. This drying rack folds up and out of the wall, leaving you plenty of space.

Need to replace or put up some weather stripping in your house for the season? Here is a complete DIY guide to weather stripping.

Make your own baby wipes with these instructions. All you need are paper towels, baby soap, coconut oil, water and a container. Oh, and a sharp knife. The tutorial states that it has to be Bounty paper towels, so be sure to get that kind.

I just love this idea for re-using plastic containers for storage! You can also use these as scoops for dog or cat food (though I’d use a milk jug and not a laundry soap one for that idea).
