Plus candy cane soap, yarn bombing and more

DIY This Week: Pillow tutorial

11/19/13

Look at this gorgeous pillow idea from Homegrown and Healthy! I want this in my living room. So I’m making one. How about you?

Want to make a sweetly-scented gift for family and friends this Christmas—or just something to scent your bathroom? Here’s a fun tutorial for candy cane soap from Humblebee & Me.

Mamaroots has some pretty intricate yarn bombing going on this week! I’ve always wanted to go yarn bombing. Fall is the perfect time to add some colors that pop to any boring structure in your neighborhood!

The Handmade Dress has some really cool ideas for homemade triple bunk beds! I’m tempted to make these even though we don’t need them. Um, we can use them for sleepovers! And… stuffed animals, yeah!

There are dozens of uses for apple cider vinegar, and I’m thinking about trying some of the ideas at Don’t Waste the Crumbs for my congestion and seasonal allergies. Nothing really works great for me, except for Singulair, and I need a prescription for that. How cool would it be if apple cider vinegar worked well instead?

And if these DIY ideas are too much for you right now or you just don’t have the time to try one, how about moving something around in your home? Take everything off a wall and see how you like its new simplicity—or add new art and see how it feels. Switch tables from room to room, or rearrange a whole room for a new look.
