Nintendo announces new gaming platform

For Nintendo players, one of the worst aspects of being a Nintendo fan is the need to maintain your catalog across a plethora of devices. Soon, Nintendo fans will have a better option: a dedicated Nintendo device, currently code named the "NX."

The NX is a next-generation hardware platform which Nintendo is developing with a Japanese mobile gaming company called DeNA. The service will tie in the 3DS, Wii U, smart phones, and PC games.

It's unknown yet whether this will be a console like the Xbox, or a handheld device like the iPad or 3DS. Only time will tell!
