Modders produce a multiplayer Cities: Skylines mod

The modding community for PC games is formidable, indeed. While the producers of Cities: Skylines have definitively said there will be no multiplayer mode forthcoming for the game, modders have already produced a multiplayer mod. Kind of.

At this point, all your friend can do is stand around with you in your city. However, the modder (FrosZ) is soliciting requests from the community for what features people might want to do multiplayer in the game. (So far "driving" and "shooting" are at the top of the list.)

The hilarious thing is that always-on multiplayer was one of players' biggest complaints about the most recent SimCity. But it's apparently also one of the most requested features for Cities: Skylines. Go figure!
