Meet the silly way Fallout 3's Metro train is powered
Video game designers often have to find clever solutions to difficult problems. In the case of Fallout 3, designers had to figure out how to make a moving Metro train even though the game's core engine wouldn't allow it.
As discovered by 4Chan and fine-tuned by PC Gamer, the trick takes place thusly: an NPC is given a glove which is actually a Metro train that floats above their head. (Thus initial 4Chan reports that the Metro train was a hat.)
The NPC then runs along the track just below ground level, creating the illusion that the train is moving along as normal. Nothing to see here!
