Mafia 3 will be set in 1968 New Orleans

Fans of the Mafia video games have had to wait quite a while for the latest installment in the series. This week at Gamescom, 2K Games released the official announcement trailer, and it looks pretty amazing!

Mafia 3 will be set in late 60s New Orleans, with all the fun cultural touchstones (including artwork and songs) from that era that you might expect. The city itself looks amazing, too! I look forward to roaming through old-school New Orleans rendered with the best modern graphics.

According to the trailer, the game is also ultra-violent, as you might expect. Yikes!
