Lion's Arch is being rebuilt

A seemingly unassuming patch to Guild Wars 2 this week brought a huge change in content: Lion's Arch, the game's capital city, which was destroyed over a year ago, is now in the process of being rebuilt.

The restoration efforts are underway, with scaffolding going up around the city, but the fix will take a while. Also, ArenaNet has announced that Lion's Arch will not look the same as it did before the destruction caused by Scarlet.

Not only will Lion's Arch be rebuilt in a new look and feel, but some of the areas are going to be renamed, and players get to vote on the names from a pre-approved list.

I can't wait to see how it turns out!
