Clips from 'Iron Man 3,' 'Star Trek Into Darkness' and 'World War Z' stood out.

Super Bowl movie trailers: Did they excite or bore?

Let's face it: Even if we're not huge football fans, millions of us tuned in to Super Bowl XLVII to watch the ads. In between the tear-jerking Budweiser Clydesdale commercial and the super creepy GoDaddy Bar Reaeli-makes-out-with-nerd ad, several major movie trailers aired. The ones that stood out really stood out. Which one caught your attention the most?

Without a doubt, the one Super Bowl XLVII movie trailer that had me jumping up and down with anticipation (OK, not really, but I was excited) was the spot for Star Trek Into Darkness. Who knew 30 seconds could psych me out that much? In short: It was epic. We finally get a good look at the movie's villain, played by none other than the wonderful Benedict Cumberbatch. As he explains to Captain Kirk in the trailer, "I am bettah!" Well, that's "better," but that glorious British accent just makes him sound so menacing. You can see for yourself by watching the Super Bowl trailer here.

Is Benedict Cumberbatch playing Kahn? That's still up for speculation, but whoever he is, he's fantastically bad. I can't wait for this movie to open on May 13, 2013.

A few other Super Bowl movie trailers also caught my attention, including clips for Iron Man 3, which looks way better than the second installment. You can check out an extended version of the Iron Man 3 Super Bowl spot here. It's hard not to love Robert Downey Jr.'s extended, epic stare.

The new Super Bowl trailer for Sam Raimi's Oz: The Great and Powerful was interesting, but I can't decide whether I'm going to love this movie or hate it with a passion. Still, the trailer made me think that it might be a nifty dark take on a classic story.

I also liked the all-too-brief trailer for World War Z, but I'm still on the fence about the movie. I'll probably see it, but does anyone else think the zombies move way too fast in the trailer?

And last but certainly not least, a very brief Super Bowl teaser trailer for a TV show gave me a huge thrill. That's right, I'm talking about the way too short tease for CBS' Under the Dome, the series adapted from Stephen King's bestselling book. The show is set to premiere in June, so hopefully between then and now we'll have more trailers to fill in the gaps. The book was really good, and I definitely see this working as a TV series.

OK movie/TV fans, which Super Bowl trailers got you worked up into a frenzy, if any?
